Spark is based on traditional Ikats, fabrics created by resist-dyeing yarns before they are woven. The Chilewich design team looked to this multifaceted process - in which bundles of yarn are wrapped together, dyed in sequence, and then aligned on the loom to create a desired pattern - to inspire the development of a double weave flecked with blurred-edge bursts of colour that extend vertically or horizontally, intersecting in dynamic crosshatchings. The large scale of Spark's repeat makes each placemat unique. 

Cleaning instructions: Simply wipe with soap, water and a soft sponge or cloth. Scrub stubborn stains with a soft bristle-brush and a bleach-based cleanser.
